Summer Camp-Day 4

“What an Inspiring Day”

The beauty of the morning was felt all around the nursery. The happiness on every child’s face

cannot be measured as they danced with their Pom poms.As the music started, they moved freely and creatively with their props.Dancing and moving throughout the day kept the children active and engaged.Using props provide opportunities for children to express their feelings.

Beat the heat and shake little Skittles!

“Time to Get Up,Time to Go”(a lesson about good grooming)

There is a time for everything! Time to play, and time for schooling, time for swimming class, and time to eat. Most importantly, there is a time to get a good scrub and get clean!

The lesson about good grooming and hygiene was executed though a dramatic play. The little Skittles enjoy the pretend play such as taking a bath, proper brushing of teeth, washing their face and hands, combing their hair and  wearing clean and appropriate clothes. The dramatic play area became the center of rich learning,as they interact with each other, children were able to practice real- life situations as they make-believe on their roles.

If a child can’t learn the way we teach, then we should teach them the way they learn!

“Watch My Hands”

With their little hands, they created a wallpaper out of water, oil and paint.Learning is incomparable when different areas of learning  are integrated  with one activity.

It’s an awesome day for little Pollys to start a day with a beautiful story and songs. Today, we started with a song ” 5 Little Monkeys” and the kids enjoyed singing and imitating the actions of the 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed.

Building the Water Cycle with Legos

Lego is one of the most useful educational toys available now. The skills children learn from Legos are important and incredible. Using Lego bricks is the perfect opportunity for building fine motor skills. Lego bricks are great manipulative working  with the fingers as children, build and even pick up Lego pieces. Children love the trill of the building and they can do this for hours, building up strong little muscles in their hands that will help them do other skills, such as learn to write. The kids enjoyed building the water cycle Legos.

The Walking Water

We have had so much fun with science this summer – it’s the perfect time to get the kids excited with the hands on activity. This water walking experiment  works quickly and is very impressive. The children watched the colored water, walk along paper towel and fill the empty glass. It’s a very cool summer science experiment.

Little Golfers!

This game involved fun, exercise and play. Kids had fun hitting the golf ball longer. They had obstacles placed in their way preventing the ball to get to where it was to go. They tried so hard to be winners at all levels. The kids found it exciting spinning the shots. Kids learned to become better putters.

Imaginary play!

What did you buy from the supermarket?

Kids learn to experiment with decision making on how to behave and are also practicing their social skills. They had some little baskets in which they were to put in their various toys they could get from the supermarket. Here children learn to experience things for themselves. Getting whatever they wanted without any restriction was fun for them.

Yummy ice-cream!

Ice cream helps to cool you down when it’s really very hot. The kids made this summer craft. They were very excited as they love eating ice-creams.

An Another cool day…
